Jerome’s wrestling career began while he was in middle school. He wrestled at Sun Prairie High School where he later returned as an assistant Varsity wrestling coach for nine years. Jerome was also a participant in the Golden Gloves tournament for two years, placing second both times. With 15 years of boxing experience, he continues to work with professional and amateur fighters. He has now been a boxing and wrestling trainer for six years.
Jerome is very passionate about boxing, wrestling, and working with kids. He says, “By coaching and training, it has provided me with a way to help grow kids both in and out of the gym. As proud as I am of the accomplishments on the mat, I am thrilled with the men they have become outside of the gym.”
He believes that JJ’s Youth Wrestling program will be so beneficial to young wrestlers because of its knowledgeable staff, individualized training, and small class sizes. He looks forward to making the most of every minute spent in the gym while he is coaching and training.
Adult boxing is our primary workout class at JJ's Boxing & Wrestling. During our classes, we will have various stations set up to exercise different muscle groups, as well as enhance stamina and agility. We always include bags and a sparring workout with the instructor, ensuring you get the most out of your session. After rotating through our high-intensity stations, we do some cardio followed by a cool down and some stretching. The maximum size for an adult boxing class is 15 individuals.
Additionally, our youth boxing classes are geared towards younger children, ages 5 to 12, and will involve learning basic boxing moves as well as other fun kids' games. Slots for all of our boxing classes are competitive, so make sure you sign up today to ensure enrollment. We look forward to assisting you and being part of your fitness journey.
The Club Wrestling Team, affiliated with USA Wrestling, welcomes boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. To become a member, please pay the club fee to JJ's and obtain a membership with USA Wrestling. Our certified coaches enable us to participate in tournaments, although competing is optional based on the wrestler's preference and schedule. In addition to the opportunity to compete, our Team Fee includes two weekly youth wrestling classes and one "open mat" session. Join our team and experience the benefits of structured training and a supportive wrestling community.
For wrestlers in high school and beyond, our program offers an opportunity to enhance your skills and elevate your technique to its full potential. Even if wrestling isn't your main sport, this class can benefit you by improving dexterity, coordination, and agility, ensuring peak performance in your preferred activity. To maintain a focused environment, we limit each class to a maximum of 20 participants. Join us and unlock your athletic potential in a supportive and challenging setting.
Designed for kids from Kindergarten through eighth grade, our Youth Wrestling classes will teach youngsters the basics of wrestling and help the more experienced young wrestlers improve their skills. Appropriately matched partners will be assigned and properly trained to prepare for a future in wrestling. With a maximum of 30 participants per class, make sure you sign your young ones up as soon as possible.
Our wrestling camps require a commitment to attend the appropriate class twice per week. Camps are only scheduled off-season - never during the winter wrestling season. By paying for the camp up-front, you will be committing to attend, and receive a discount off the cumulative drop-in rate of those classes. Whether you are preparing for a competition or just want to have more time to hit your instructor, private lessons might be the perfect fit for you. When you enroll in private classes, you receive individual attention and customized instruction to increase your fitness level and achieve the skill level that you are looking for. If you wish to book an hour-long private lesson, you may book two back-to-back 30-minute lessons.

Everyone wants to know this answer! That's completely natural! You have finite resources which include time and money. The short answer is that you can attend class for only $15. That's all it costs to come to any of our amazing classes!
Of course, there is a longer answer too, which is that you can also buy multi-packs. We offer two very common multi-packs.
10 Pack: For $110 you can attend any 10 classes throughout SIX (6) months
"2x per Week": For $90 you attend any 10 classes throughout ONE (1) month
"3x per Week": For $120 you attend any 14 classes throughout ONE (1) month
Unlimited: For $150 you attend as many classes as you can over a ONE (1) month period
When you schedule a class online, if you already have a package, then one class will be removed from your package. If not, then you will be prompted to purchase a package.
Private Lessons: Private lessons can be booked for $50 per half-hour. If you would like to have an hour, book back-to-back 30-minute sessions. We do not offer packages for private lessons at this time.
NOTE: We are extremely limited in private lesson instruction times due to ongoing staff scheduling issues. In any class, most of your workout will be done singly at a station, where no other client will be at your station at the same time as you. Beginners will get a bit more attention from the instructor to get them going.
ALSO NOTE: Due to instructor time being limited in class, if you have not pre-booked your class - which also means pre-paying for class - then a $10 late registration fee will be added. We do not want to charge this fee! However, handing in your registration and your cash/check/credit card takes instructor time away from your classmates and so we hope this fee encourages you to sign up online before class and thereby exempts you from paying it.
Finally: YOU do all the hitting! No one hits you back during class
The short answer is: We really want you to sign up!
Starting in April 2023, our policy is to charge an extra $10 late registration fee if you do not sign up online prior to coming to class. The reason is simple - we want our instructors taking as little time doing administrative work (1 minute taking attendance) versus as much time teaching class for everyone in class. We hope this fee encourages everyone to sign up before coming to the gym.
The long anwer is: You can just show up to class and bring either cash (exact change appreciated) or a check made out to JJ's Boxing.
HOWEVER, some classes are not yet attended very well, and if no one has signed up, the instructor may not show up either. This will leave you a little frustrated because the door will be locked and instead of having a "dream class" where you are essentially getting a private lesson for less than 1/4 the cost, you have wasted your time coming to a locked gym.
There is also the potential for the opposite problem, which is that our gym has limited space. If you have signed up, you are guaranteed to be able to attend that class. If you just drop-in, if there is space, then we will be happy to bring you into class, but if not, you will be turned away. So ultimately, the long answer is that we also really want you to sign up!
